Plumbing Design

Kitec’s smooth inner surface provides the basis for excellent long term flow. Its larger inside diameters also permit greater fixture load than other plastic plumbing systems. And Kitec is easily bent to form changes in direction and 90o turns – this means fewer fittings and fewer flow interruptions.

The following tables provide all the information you need to size your plumbing system. Pipe flow and head loss per hundred feet are shown for all Kitec pipe sizes. Allowance for fittings are also shown in terms of equivalent feet of pipe. And finally, the UPC and Canadian Plumbing Code Fixture Tables provide guidance on allowable fixture loads.
